Portugal recorded in 2024 the lowest number of births since records exist. The demographic crisis is known, the data are public and the debate continues to be avoided. Because talking seriously about birth rate forces you to talk about family. And talking about family forces you to question decades of culture and public policies that treated the traditional family as a structure to overcome, instead of a good to protect.

The European Commission was not elected by anyone. It governs with increasing powers, imposes regulation without real democratic scrutiny, and treats the will of national voters as an obstacle to integration. Defending national sovereignty is not being anti-European, it is demanding a Europe that respects the peoples that compose it.

The Portuguese right has votes but does not have convictions. The PSD governs without a clear conservative agenda, right-wing parties retreat before media pressure, and the conservative electorate continues without representation worthy of that name. Portugal needs a right that governs as it thinks and that does not apologize for existing.

Atlas Portugal exists to fill an empty space in Portuguese public debate, a serious conservative voice, articulate and without complexes, that does not depend on parties nor on agenda.
